Dollar General Fleet

Dollar General’s truck drivers are quite literally the engine that keeps the company running and growing. As the company strives to become more efficient, reduce out-of-stocks in its stores, and expand the ways in which it reaches American consumers, it’s putting significant investment in aggressively expanding its private fleet of CDL drivers.

As a driver for Dollar General’s private fleet, you will be connecting our distribution centers with existing Dollar General stores and new stores opening across the country.

Dollar General’s truck driver jobs are regional touch-freight routes, hauling freight from distribution centers to stock the company’s 19,000 retail stores.

Though Dollar General stores can be found in both urban and rural communities all across the U.S., the company is focusing most on hiring CDL drivers in a number of high-priority states through the Midwest, south, and mid-Atlantic. Because of the regional distribution center model, a big plus to Dollar General driver jobs is weekly home time.

Dollar General is currently hiring CDL drivers for two types of loads: DG Fresh, which are reefer loads with fresh and frozen perishable items for Dollar General’s quickly expanding retail footprint in groceries, and Traditional, which are dry van loads with everything else that Dollar General sells in its stores.
